West of Market

– Neighborhood in Kirkland –

The West of Market area, located close to downtown Kirkland, is well renowned for its significant popularity. Lake Washington defines the physical boundaries of the area under consideration to the west and Market Street to the east. Very simple!

The residential neighborhood has over 800 residences exhibiting a wide range of architectural forms and styles, a significant portion of which provide captivating views of Lake Washington, the Olympic Mountains, Mt. Rainier, and the Seattle metropolis, particularly in the westward direction. Waterfront residences often include private docks and boat lifts to facilitate aquatic activities on Lake Washington or a place to watch fireworks in July, or a convenient home base during Seafair.

The West of Market district possesses a few exceptional public parks. My favorite is Waverly Park, a notable recreational area, including a well-regarded swimming beach adorned with lush grass and boasting one of the most exceptional swimming docks throughout Lake Washington. Heritage Park has several amenities, including tennis courts, a well-maintained grass field, and picturesque vistas of the Seattle cityscape, Bellevue skyline, and Kirkland.

When traversing this region, many residents engage in activities such as walking, jogging, or leisurely strolling their canine companions. The downtown area of Kirkland is conveniently located within a reasonable walking distance, offering the opportunity to partake in dining experiences or enjoy wine at the renowned Kirkland location. Alternatively, a short drive may lead one to Deru, widely regarded as one of the finest restaurants in the Pacific Northwest. Suppose an individual exhibits a genuine inclination for laziness. In that case, they can commute to Kirkland utilizing driving and afterward avail themselves of many parking alternatives, both paid and street-based. The town of Kirkland has had a significant increase in activity and engagement throughout the summer months.

West of Market Conclusion

The housing market in this particular region is often characterized by higher prices, mostly attributable to its favorable geographical position, scenic vistas, and significant demand for real estate holdings. Anticipate seeing opulent residences, a significant portion of which have been individually tailored or subject to intensive refurbishment.

The West of Market neighborhood is in close proximity to Downtown Kirkland, an area renowned for its diverse range of dining establishments, retail establishments, and cultural attractions. This implies that those residing in this area have the opportunity to experience the peacefulness often associated with residential neighborhoods, while also benefiting from convenient access to metropolitan facilities.

“I love touring homes in the West of Market neighborhood. There are some fantastic remodeled homes and waterfront homes. The area is light and bright with lots of natural light, and the views of Lake Washington are beautiful.
